All I can say is that all of the grandkids are doing amazing things! From the Browns to the Naylors to the Engles to the Wardrops all of these kids are fantastic! The best! I am truly in awe! How did we all get such wonderful kids??? It's humbling to think of these sweet, wonderful spirits that have been entrusted to us as parents. Each accomplishment of every one of these kids buoys me up and makes me feel so grateful for each one of them.
So, now on to Brandon... He competed in a state-wide competition today that was held at the University of Utah. It is called the "We the People" competition. Brandon and several students from his school competed as a team. They each had to give a speech in front of judges and then the judges could ask them any random question they wanted to ask. (related to the topic or not) Brandon's topic was to address the opinions the early colonists had with regard to government. Anyway, Brandon and his team won first place! State champs! It was a pretty big deal and they had a big banquet for them. We went to Jamba Juice to celebrate!

I agree with Sheryl. We feel so blessed to have such terrific grandchildren who are doing amazing things and achieving so much everyday. I would like to tell our dear missionary friends about all you do, but I don't dare. They would never believe it and they may feel depressed.
We pray for each of you day and night and our prayers are being answered beyong our fondest dreams. Keep it up and keep being such great examples of righteous living. You are THE BEST!!!!
BRANDON: State Champs!! You are such a brain and great speaker. We were blown away when we saw you compete in the Mock Trial Competition and won every one. You were like a real attorney as you stood before the Judges and presented your cases.
And now you are a Champ again. My head is spinning. Grandpa and I loved contests like this when were in school. But we never did what you are doing. Wow Wow Wow!!
Love, Grandma
Congratualtions Brandon!!!
It's interesting to see how the Lord blesses different people. In D&C 46 we read:
"For all have not every gift given unto them; for there are many gifts, and to every man is given a gift by the Spirit of God.
To some is given one and to some is given another, that all may be proited thereby . . . .
And all these gifts come from God, for the benefit of the children of God."
We and our posterity have been richly blessed with many different gifts and talents. The most important challenge for each individual is to develop each of those gifts that we have received from God to our maximum potential.
Again, congratulations to Brandon and to all of his wonderful cousins, for each is excelling in his/her own way!
Love Grandpa
Brandon we think you are awesome! We hope you give us your speech when we see you. Congratulations on your award!
