SALT LAKE CITY -- It took No. 2 to get to No. 5 for the Timpview tennis team Saturday.
Confused? Good thing the Thunderbirds' second doubles team wasn't, as it needed a 7-5, 6-4 championship win by Michael Christensen and Dallin Wardrop against a duo from Cottonwood to get their team a coveted fifth consecutive 4A title at Liberty Park.
"It feels good to be a part of helping that happen," Wardrop said in what turned out to be a tight three-squad contest vying for overall excellence.

Congratulations Dallin!
Were proud of you and wish that we could have been there to see your chapionship game.
We called your mom and dad to congratulate you, but we found that you were entertaining your friends in the back yard.
Also, we understand that after returning from the championship game, your first task was to mow the lawn. Way to go with responsibility and priorities.
Dallin: You're #1. We are so excited. We didn't imagine this could happen after less than 2 years in the sport. Next year: Do it again!!! We'll miss you next year too, so you wlll have to do it again in 09.
